What type of sensor should be selected ?

For a state that needs to be measured, there are often multiple sensors that can measure it.

For example, sensors for measuring temperature include: thermocouples, thermal resistors, thermistors, semiconductor PN junctions, IC temperature sensors, fiber optic temperature sensors, etc. Under the conditions that all can meet the measurement range, accuracy, speed, and usage conditions, we should focus on factors such as low cost, whether the matching circuit is simple, and reliability to make choices, and try to choose sensors with high performance-price ratio.

1. Large signal output sensor:

XDB305 4-20mA 0-10V

(XDB305 Series)

In order to adapt to the A/D input requirements, sensor manufacturers design and produce some large signal output sensors that are specially matched with A/D.

2. Digital sensor:

Digital sensor

(XDB401-N3-W7)

If it meets the TTL level standard, it can be directly connected to the I/O port of the computer. If the output is not TTL level, it needs to have the advantages of high measurement accuracy, strong anti-interference ability, and easy long-distance transmission.

3. Integrated sensor:

Integrated sensor

(XDB605-S1)

It integrates the sensor and the signal conditioning circuit. For example: the strain gauge, strain bridge, linearization processing, bridge amplification, etc. are integrated to form an integrated pressure sensor.

The use of integrated sensors can reduce the information conditioning task of the input channel and simplify the channel structure.

4. Fiber optic sensor:

Fiber optic sensor

The signal pickup, conversion, and transmission of this sensor are all realized through optical fibers, avoiding electromagnetic interference of the circuit system.

Fiber optic sensors can fundamentally solve the interference introduced by sensors on site.
